Our Approach - Early Intervention for Scoliosis
Traditional scoliosis treatments recommend
- Observation for curvatures between 0 and 25 degrees
- Bracing for curvatures between 25 - 40 degrees, and
- Surgery for curvatures above 40 degrees.
However, detection and intervention of scoliosis at its early stages is essential to minimize the risks and effects of the condition, and to provide patients with treatment options that are less expensive, less painful and less invasive.
At Precision Spine, we use the MIX, FIX, SET treatment method developed by CLEAR Institute, a non-profit organization that specializes in non-invasive scoliosis treatment and care.
This approach is specifically targeted for treating scoliosis patients who have spinal curvatures from 0-25 degrees and want a pro-active, non-invasive treatment option to the traditional "watch & wait" treatment option recommendation.
The treatment consists of three phases:
- Mix - Soften the tissues and muscles affecting your scoliosis, making them pliable and workable.
- Fix - Comprehensive, manual adjustment to correct abnormal spinal curvatures and misalignments.
- Set - Retrain your body to hold your corrections permanently.

Unlike soft or rigid braces, the MIX, FIX, SET program can achieve actual reduction and stabilization of the spinal curvature, while reducing the risk of future scoliotic curve progression at the same time.
